What changes

The changes of each version, newest first. For the details of a feature, see the user guide.

Version 0.1.2

31 October 2026

Peristyle on your phone, and backups you can schedule.

Added

  • Install Peristyle on your phone or tablet, with its icon on the home screen and no address bar. The instance must be served over HTTPS. The application needs the server: without a network, a page says so and offers to try again.
  • backup.sh saves the database, the /data volume and .env. Schedule it on your server. The restore steps are in the installation guide.

Version 0.1.0

31 October 2026

The first version: a reader, bookmarks and archives on your own server.

Added

  • Feeds in folders, OPML import and full articles on demand.
  • Nested collections, tags, dead-link checks and imports.
  • Full copies of pages, kept even if the original disappears.
  • Full-text search across the three spaces, several accounts on one instance, administration, languages, themes and extensions.
  • Help in the application: the user guide and the installation guide are served by the instance, with the Help entry in the sidebar, the shortcuts on the ? key and help buttons on the pages that need them.
  • A welcome card for accounts that follow no feed yet.
  • This page, flagged by a dot on Help after an update.
  • A ready-made Docker image on ghcr.io/zeguym/peristyle: installing takes two files, and updating comes down to docker compose pull.
  • E-mails need the public address of the instance, the base of every link they carry: set PUBLIC_URL in .env or Public address in Administration → Email. Without it, nothing is sent.
